Regan Fink

Working Landscapes
Regan Fink is a Master of Environmental Management Candidate with a concentration in Energy & the Environment. Prior to graduate school, she received her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Kenyon College and has worked in various roles, including as a resident naturalist in Costa Rica, an estuaries policy and conservation analyst, and an AmeriCorps volunteer. As a Project Innovator in Fall 2017, she helped build a carbon and land footprint calculator that compared different takeout container services. After the successful and rewarding experience, Regan is excited to return this semester to DISI as the Project Manager for Working Landscapes.

Dilani Logan

Dilani is a second year MSc in Global Health student at the Duke Global Health Institute. Originally from Canada, Dilani completed her Bachelor of Science in Medical Science and Spanish with a minor in Global Development Studies from Western University, Canada. She has worked with a variety of global health organisations including the World Health Organization, Partners in Health Canada and the Canadian Society of International Health, which has helped to fuel her passion for working within teams to create and implement impactful solutions to complex societal problems. Previous to this, she worked as a Project Innovator for DISI for Church World Services and the Women's Birth and Wellness Centre.

Natalie has over 12 years’ experience in starting and running development programs in India, Nepal, Mozambique and South Africa. Originally from Italy, she is committed to poverty alleviation and sustainable development, with a special focus on providing access to quality education and skills training. Her passion for helping others ignited at the age of 14, when she spent several months volunteering in India. She is the co-founder and Managing Director of Change the World Trust, a non-profit organization that sets-up and provides free IT Training to unemployed youth and high school students across South Africa.
Natalie first heard about DISI at the beginning of the Fall semester and was interested in volunteering my time towards worthy causes. She is also keen to understand the development/NGO sector in this side of the world. She loves working with like-minded individuals and looks forward to an experience of learning and sharing skills and ideas as well as finding and creating solutions for our partner organizations.

Vaibhav Gupta

Vaibhav is a Graduate student in the Engineering Management Program at the Pratt School of Engineering. He hails from India where he received his Bachelors of Engineering in Computer Science from Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh. Prior to Duke, he worked as a software development engineer for three years in two different industries (Travel and Cybersecurity). Vaibhav brings his passion for product management, data and technology to the DISI program, and is currently a Project Manager working with SEEDS. Outside the academic word, he enjoys playing tennis, reading, traveling and photography.

Lan is currently a candidate in the Master of Management Studies program at the Fuqua School of Business. A recent convert to business, Lan spent one year working in startups after completing his degrees in biomedical science from University College London. During this period, he organized a startup accelerator program in Bangkok, participated in a successful Series D fundraising team and interned at a boutique consulting firm. Outside work, Lan enjoys his coffee, casual table sports and reading biographies and behavioural economics.

She graduated Cum Laude from Franklin & Marshall College (Lancaster, PA) with a B.A. in Business Management and Economics in 2015. Zefang is thrilled to be part of the DISI team, and she hopes to make a positive impact on the local community through participating in the DISI projects. Zefang is currently serving as a Project Manager working with Church World Service.

Gerald came to Duke after completing my JD and international MBA at USC in the spring of 2017. He is currently an LLM in Law & Entrepreneurship candidate focused on working with startups and venture capital. He enjoys working in consultative roles with passionate people, no matter the industry, and this drove his interest in joining DISI and creating a positive social impact. He also enjoys basketball, climbing and the outdoors. He is looking forward to creating positive change with my team and the Art Therapy Institute this spring.
