"Our team has teamed up with Baltimore City Public Schools (BCPS) to help further their Career Technical Education (CTE) pathway in Manufacturing Engineering Technology. CTEs give students the opportunity to focus on academic training for a specific career that matches their skills and interests, and enables them to obtain college credit or other credentials to take their career to the next level. DISI is working with Baltimore City Public Schools to expand the pathway in Manufacturing Engineering Technologies to ensure the curriculum is up-to-date and the credentials offered align with the local labor market and meet academic demands. The goal of this project is to ensure BCPS provides the tools and training to usher students into well-paid and in-demand careers."
"Our team is helping Book Harvest prove the impact they make on children’s literacy in Durham by reevaluating their data collection methods and cleaning historical data. Book Harvest has a number of initiatives for promoting childhood development and literacy, one of which is called Book Babies. In the six years since it’s creation, Book Babies has made regular visits to families with children between the ages of 0-5 in order to educate parents on childhood development practices. In this time, Book Harvest has been manually collecting data on family progress but has yet to leverage this data to illustrate the program’s profound impact. We are helping Book Harvest reconstruct the way they are collecting data, to promote both user experience and data analysis going forward. We are also helping the NPO clean their existing data to evaluate their impact to date. Behind the scenes, we are building upon a previous DISI-Book Harvest success project to build out the data infrastructure for the company’s future. We are excited for this opportunity and love working with the Book Harvest team!"

"Our team has partnered with the Centre for Death Penalty Litigation(CDPL) to help generate awareness about death penalty laws in North Carolina and support them in their endeavors to eliminate death penalties from North Carolina."
"Our team is working with Recity Network on a social network analysis. We will be realizing our objective by building quantifiable surveys and conducting a network analysis to gauge the connectivity and trust between organizations in the co-working space. We will then use the results of this analysis to increase cohesion and collaboration within the network."
